Food Web Dynamics Visualization
I am currently completing a PhD in ecosystem modeling at the Institute of Biology and Biochemistry, University of Potsdam, Germany.
The project contributes to answering the question, how properties of populations influence ecosystem stability. Using a 3D network visualization software, the influence of complex feeding interactions are investigated from a population and community level perspective with computational means.
The work is sponsored by the Heinrich-Böll Stiftung. The visualization software for food web dynamics is developed in collaboration with the Pacific Ecoinformatics and Computational Ecology Lab, Berkeley, CA, and the Computational Ecology and Environmental Science group at Microsoft Research, Cambridge, UK.
